Here are some questions and answers about the Ministry of Education Language Immersion Awards for teachers.
Please note that these awards are for language not country placements.
What is the criteria for applying for this award?
A. You must be a teacher of a language within the New Zealand curriculum at a state school with full teacher registration at the time of application and have the written approval of your principal and board of trustees. You must also be a NZ citizen or resident.
B. Priority will be given to:
1. Teachers teaching languages in Years 7 – 10.
2. Teachers in state and integrated schools.
Private school teachers can apply and their applications will be considered but priority will be given to teachers from state and integrated schools.
